A special memorial event honored the victims and heroes of the deadly Gatlinburg wildfires.
The memorial event was held on Saturday. Tuesday will mark one year since the deadly fire started.
Fourteen people died as hurricane-force winds pushed the fire north from the Chimney Tops peak in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
By the time the fires were put out days later, some 17,000 acres had burned.
Saturday's event also honored first responders, volunteers, and the agencies that helped the community begin the steps of recovering.
