NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Remembrances for those lost in the 9/11 tragedy continued Sunday.

Firefighters from all across the country were in Nashville for the annual "Memorial Stair Climb" at the Tennessee Tower.

“You need to remember those families and those victims that died that day because there will never be what they call closure for them,” said William R. Snodgrass, a participant. “There will always be pain in their heart for their loved one and their family member that was lost.”

Participants climbed the stairwell wearing all of their gear. They continued climbing multiple times for a total of 110 stories, representing the number of floors each of the Twin Towers had.
