NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — The Metro Public Health Department is urging everyone to follow proper COVID-19 safety guidelines when celebrating Halloween this year.

Health department officials stressed the importance of following proven protocols, which means keeping a mask on, social distancing, staying outdoors, and avoiding large crowds.

They also encouraged thrill-seekers to attend haunted houses or hayrides only if strict health protocols are being followed.
