NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — One person was killed in a shooting in the Trinity Hills area late Wednesday night.
Metro Nashville police were called to a home on Pappus Court at about 11 p.m. where officers say 40-year-old Lamont Jordan was shot and killed.
Jordan was reportedly returning home when he saw a black Toyota sedan blocking his driveway. Police said Jordan honked at the driver of the car, the Toyota then moved out of the driveway allowing Jordan to park.
According to officers, when Jordan and a female passenger got out of their car, the driver of the Toyota also got out and questioned who lived at Jordan's home. The female passenger then went inside but told officers she heard gunshots a short time later.
Jordan reportedly then ran inside and collapsed. He died at the scene.
