Metro Police put convicted cocaine felon back behind bars after probation violation

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A convicted felon is back behind bars after he was arrested on an outstanding felony probation violation warrant and the discovery of cocaine, heroin and a handgun in his possession.

Courtney Jordan, 28, was taken into custody by Metro Police at his place of employment on Thursday. During a search of Jordan's Nissan Altima, officers recovered five grams of cocaine, 2.3 grams of heroin, and a loaded nine millimeter pistol.

At the time of his arrest, Jordan was out of jail on a $42, 500 bond for his previous arrest which occurred on New Year's Day at the James Cayce public housing development. In that case, Jordan was charged with cocaine possession, felon in possession of a handgun, theft (said handgun had been reported stolen in Logan County, Kentucky) and gun possession during the commission of a felony.

Jordan also had four prior felony drug convictions since 2014.

He is being held in lieu of $75,000 bond.
