NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Metro Nashville Police detectives are searching for a person of interest in connection to the death of 24-year-old Mayte Aguirre.

Police say they want to question 28-year-old Antwan Churchwell about the deadly shooting. Aguirre was reportedly dropped off at Southern Hills Medical Center at 2:10 a.m. Monday by two men in a 2006 Pontiac Grand Am. She had been shot in her back. The men drove away in the car after dropping her off at the hospital.

Police say Aguirre was sitting in the front passenger seat of the car when she was shot by someone else inside the vehicle. Churchwell is believed to have been present when it happened.
