Detectives want to find his 2017 blue Nissan Rogue with Tennessee license plate 4H4-8L7. They say Springer was driving it when he went to the Subway restaurant at 130 W. Trinity Lane at 6:50 p.m. Wednesday to buy a family member a sandwich. However, Springer did not return home after leaving the restaurant. And his wife reported him missing at midnight.

Springer had trauma to his head when he was found. The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death.

Anyone seeing the Nissan Rogue or having information about Springer's death was asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and qualify for a cash reward.
