NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — More than 200 people received free COVID-19 tests at one pop-up testing site Saturday.

The Metro Public Health Department held a drive through COVID-19 testing site at the Islamic Center of Tennessee. It was one of two pop-up mobile testing sites this weekend.

Patients should receive their results within 24 to 48 hours.

"We sometimes see anywhere from like 75 to 100 but as we've gotten closer and closer, and during the holiday season, the numbers have gone up to above 100- today over 200. We've kind of seen an increase everyday," said COVID-19 nurse, Caroline Elcan.

There will be another free mobile COVID-19 testing event Sunday held at Hillcrest United Methodist Church on Raywood Lane in Nashville from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. No appointments are necessary.
