Middle Tennessee has 7 of state’s top public high schools, according to US News rankings

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Seven of the top high schools in the state are right here in Middle Tennessee, according to a national ranking.

U.S. News ranked the top high schools in the state based on several factors: including graduation rate, college readiness and enrollment for grades 9-12.

Central Magnet School in Murfreesboro topped the list, scoring a 100% graduation rate and a 96.5 for college readiness.

Hume Fogg Magnet in Nashville came in second on the list, while Sumner County’s Merrol Hyde Magnet came in third.

Four other local schools rounded out the top seven, including:

4. Martin Luther King Jr. Magnet School
5. Brentwood High School
6. Ravenwood High School
7. Franklin High School
