NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — As things remain uncertain during the COVID-19 pandemic, The Mike Curb Foundation has made a donation of $100,000 to help feed the homeless in Nashville, Nashville Rescue Mission announced.

Through Nashville Rescue Mission, as well as Room in the Inn and Second Harvest Food Bank, the donation will provide 20,000 meals.

A portion of these meals were provided by the Rescue Mission on Good Friday. They will continue through the end of April.

"We are so grateful for this gift from Mike Curb and The Curb Foundation," said Glenn Cranfield, president and CEO of Nashville Rescue Mission. "This donation will do so much more than just satisfy hunger pains, it sends a message to our most vulnerable neighbors that they matter, and someone genuinely cares about them. We are honored to be a part of this endeavor and appreciate the trust Mike Curb has placed in us to oversee [it]."

Second Harvest Food Bank will be providing 5,000 of the meals at the Fairgrounds Nashville, as many are unable to stay in the shelter due to social distancing measures.

Room in the Inn will serve their meals at their facility on Drexel Street.
