Former Predators captain Mike Fisher has been named grand marshal for the Nashville Christmas Parade.
The announcement was made Tuesday morning by Mayor Megan Barry and other officials.
Fisher, one of the most recognizable players in Predators' franchise history, announced his retirement from the NHL after last season.
The 37-year-old Fisher played 17 seasons with the Predators and Senators. He scored 18 goals last season while helping to lead the Preds to their first ever Stanley Cup Final appearance.
