The commissioner of Major League Soccer is scheduled to make a "significant" announcement in Nashville on Wednesday.
The event was set for 4 p.m. and will feature MLS Commissioner Don Garber, Mayor Megan Barry, Governor Bill Haslam and John R. Ingram with Nashville Soccer Holdings LLC.

Nashville is one of four finalists to be awarded one of two MLS expansion teams.
“We are excited and optimistic about the future of soccer in Nashville. We look forward to hearing more tomorrow," Mayor Megan Barry said in a statement.
A judge just threw out a lawsuit seeking to block plans for a new stadium. Chancellor Ellen Hobbs Lyle ruled that nothing in that charter amendment prevents additional uses of the fairgrounds.
