MNPD Honors Many At Service Awards

About 89 citizens and police officers were recognized at the Metro Nashville Police Department’s Service Awards ceremony.

Wednesday’s event recognized them for their contributions to making Nashville an even better city.

They were recognized for their bravery, ingenuity and heroism including six of the officers who were the first to respond to the gunman at the Hickory Hollow 8 Theatre. 

Among those attending were Mayor Megan Barry, Police Chief Steve Anderson and District Attorney General Glenn Funk.
