MNPD Investigate West Nashville Shooting, Search For Suspect

Officers with the Metro Nashville Police Department have responded to the scene of a shooting in West Nashville.

Dispatchers received a call around 4 p.m. Monday of a shooting at the McDonalds at 4700 Charlotte Avenue.

Witnesses said two men got into verbal argument inside the fast food restaurant. The argument then allegedly spilled into the parking lot where one of them pulled gun and shot the other man in the chest.

The victim was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Police search for a suspect described as a Hispanic man with dreadlocks.

McDonald's was closed for the remained of the day. Investigators were looking into if surveillance video from the restaurant would be available or useable.
