NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — This weekend you can find MNPD's mounted police collecting toys for needy children in the parking lot of the Nashville Zoo.
The collection is a part of a larger annual initiative by the MNPD known as the Christmas Basket Program.
Toys should be new, unwrapped, and appropriate for children 12 years and younger.
As an incentive, the zoo is offering a complimentary admission ticket for every new toy donated (limit two ticket per person). The tickets will remain valid through the end of 2019.
Collections will take place both Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
