NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Thanks to hot weather, the CMA Music Festival reached an unwanted record this week.
The heat proved to be too much for festival goers. Sunday, those with Vanderbilt University Medical Center said they treated 299 people at the festival. Friday they treated 206.
That brought the total number of people treated during the CMA Fest to 825.
To put that in perspective, in 2014 Vanderbilt only treated 463 people throughout the entire festival.
Vanderbilt representatives said CMA officials were proactive in helping festival goers stay cool by providing free filtered water.
