A woman has been charged in connection with an Antioch apartment fire that killed her daughter and injured two other family members.
The incident was reported before 4 a.m. on August 7 at the Stone Ridge Apartments on Piccadilly Row.

According to an affidavit, 32-year-old Ehitayehu Dessie has been charged with aggravated arson in the case. Her bond was set at $100,000.
Officials said 3-year-old Elizabeth Dessie died in the fire.
Her father, 33-year-old Endalamaw Dessie Tesfaye, suffered burns over 80 percent of his body. Ehitayehu Dessie and Elizabeth’s 5-year-old brother were also taken to an area hospital.
Police said Dessie implicated herself as to of having intentionally set the fire during an interview, saying she “set the house on fire because her family was treating her badly.”
Eight other units were destroyed in the blaze, displacing seven families.
