Police have identified a 30-year-old Fairview man who was killed in a motorcycle crash early Wednesday morning in Bellevue.
The incident happened at about 3 a.m. on Highway 100, west of Collins Road.
Officials with Metro Nashville Police said Brandon Shelby was riding his 2011 Honda westbound when he entered a curve and left the roadway, traveled through a ditch, and struck a culvert. It's not known why he veered off the roadway.
Shelby was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he died.
Portions of Highway 100 were closed while Metro Police investigated the crash. The road has since reopened.
Police said there was no evidence of drug or alcohol involvement at the scene.
