NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A motorcyclist who was injured over the weekend in a crash in northeastern Davidson County has died from his injuries.
The incident happened Sunday night on Old Hickory Boulevard in the Lakewood community.
Officials with Metro police said 52-year-old Joseph Thomas McKinney and his passenger were traveling in a construction area, when the motorcycle collided with a sign.
A witness told police the motorcycle passed a vehicle with time to merge to the right, as the sign was prompting him to do.
McKinney was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he died Monday afternoon. Police said he was driving on a revoked license.
His passenger, 56-year-old Lisa Ogle, was also injured and taken to Vanderbilt with non-life threatening injuries.
There was no signs of drugs or alcohol found at the scene.
