A motorcyclist has died after crashing on Interstate 24 West in Clarksville.
The crash happened just before 5 p.m. Thursday near mile-marker 9 on I-24.
The driver was taken to Gateway Hospital, where they later died.
The westbound lanes were closed for a couple hours, and officials with the Tennessee Highway Patrol provided a detour at Exit 11.
Tennessee Department of Transportation trucks also responded to the scene to assist with detouring motorists, but traffic, which was backed up for several miles, would take time to work through the area.
