A motorcyclist died after crashing into the back of a car on Interstate 40.
Tennessee Highway Patrol troopers said the motorcyclist, identified as 27-year-old Jason M. Kemp, of Lebanon, was going east on I-40 in Wilson County, just east of the Sparta Pike exit near Lebanon.
That's when he apparently rear-ended a car around 2 a.m. Sunday. His motorcycle came to rest in the median.
Kemp reportedly died at the scene.
The driver and passenger in the car were not injured in the crash. No charges were expected to be filed in the wreck.
Troopers said speed was a factor in this crash. The road reopened at 5:15 a.m. Sunday.
