MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WTVF) — A Middle Tennessee non-profit is making sure sure families-in-need across Wilson County have a happy holiday.

"Give A Little Christmas" took donations at the Shiloh Music Center this afternoon. All gifts will go to families who aren't receiving from other organizations.

This is the toy drive's ninth year. The directors say 2020 has been more challenging, with the pandemic limiting opportunities to to collect donations and increasing the number of people needing help.

"The first Tuesday of each month we usually do toy drives, all year round we do Christmas stuff. This year we haven’t been able to do all that because everyone is closed and people have to stay home," said Olivia West, a co-director of the organization.

"And we have more kids than we normally do this time of year," co-director Krys Midgett added.

The group hopes to give presents to 400 kids. People can still make monetary or toy donations here.
