A manhunt has gotten underway in Mt. Juliet for a suspect who allegedly assaulted a woman before fleeing the area on foot.
Mt. Juliet Police officials said they were called to a home on Curd Road near North Mt. Juliet Road around 11 a.m. Monday after a woman said she was assaulted.
A suspect - identified as 51-year-old Gregory Seay, of Lebanon - allegedly struck the woman in the back of the head with a chair, knocking her unconscious.
Once she regained consciousness, she called police. However, the suspect fled on foot before officers arrived.
She was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
