A woman was arrested after barricading herself in a Mt. Juliet home for several hours. Officers said she hid by wedging herself between two walls off of her attic.
Escalade Drive near Bradford Park Road was closed around 4:30 p.m. as police tried to apprehend the suspect. Police said the woman was wanted for aggravated stalking with a knife.
Police weren't getting a response from her; so they entered the home and eventually figured out she was hiding in the attic, where she had wedged herself in between the bedroom wall and an exterior wall. Police said she could have been there for hours.
An officer actually fell through the ceiling while trying to get in, but is expected to be okay.
Officers were at the home for a domestic violence incident just a few days ago and she was arrested for domestic assault.
She cooperated with officers and was charged. She was taken into custody by the Special Response Team.
Escalade Drive was reopened shortly after the incident.
