MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WTVF) — A Middle Tennessee State University football player has been suspended from the team amid two rape charges.
Rutherford County court records show 21-year-old Reginald "Zeke" Cobb was arrested for two counts of rape and is being held on a $60,000 bond.
Cobb is a red-shirt junior wide receiver from Dalton, Georgia.
MTSU head football coach Rick Stockstill said Cobb has been suspended from the team.
"Zeke is suspended from our team as we allow the legal process to move forward. It is very disappointing and, if substantiated, such actions do not represent or reflect the standards we have worked extremely hard to develop for our program," Stockstill said.
He is set to be arraigned on November 25.
