NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Rainy weather was the likely cause of multiple wrecks in Davidson and Rutherford counties, causing major delays for commuters Monday morning.

Eastbound West Trinity Lane was blocked after a single-car, rollover crash early Monday morning. A woman was seriously injured in the wreck.

Further south, a crash involving multiple vehicles caused a major backup just past Harding Place on Interstate 65. Traffic could be seen at a standstill all the way back to Armory Drive.

In Rutherford County, another crash caused a delay for commuters heading into Nashville on Interstate 24 West.

Sky 5 flew over the scene and showed multiple vehicles involved in the wreck. One of the cars apparently ran off the roadway and overturned onto its side.

Two other cars were seen in the median of the roadway.

At least two people were seen being placed into ambulances. No additional information was known.
