Murfreesboro apartment fire displaces residents

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WTVF) — Residents of an apartment complex in Murfreesboro were displaced after a fire early Sunday morning.

The Murfreesboro Fire Rescue Department said the fire broke out in building B of the Kingwood Apartments on Kingwood Drive around 7:30 a.m. When firefighters arrived, fire and smoke were seen coming from the building.

The Red Cross is working with apartment management to get the residents placed in other apartments.

No one was hurt in the fire and the cause remains under investigation.
