MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – A Murfreesboro couple underwent a terrifying ordeal after they said they were robbed and kidnapped at gunpoint.
According to WGNS News Radio, police are looking for two suspects linked to the violent carjacking. The alleged incident happened along north Highland Avenue in Murfreesboro.
The victims pulled to a stop and the two suspects jumped into the back seat of the car. They pulled guns, told the husband drive, and took the couple's wallet and purse.
After several blocks, the gunmen told the husband to pull over near the downtown square. The suspects jumped out and took off on foot.
No one was injured in the ordeal but the couple was quite shaken.
Police have not made any arrests in the case. WGNS reports the suspects will be charged with aggravated kidnapping and aggravated robbery.
The investigation remains ongoing.
