Investigators have began looking into another case of odometer fraud, after a Murfreesboro man reported the crime after purchasing a used truck on craigslist.
The 1998 Ford F-150 truck Matt Kenyon purchased was said to have 112,000 miles on it, but after he purchased the truck, and noticed part of the text on the title scratched off, he ran an online car check on the vehicle.
During that check, Kenyon said the vehicle came back with a salvaged title, and an odometer listing of 154,000 miles.
Murfreesboro police investigators told Kenyon that they're looking into the case, including the man who sold him the truck. No arrests have yet been made.
