Murfreesboro Police arrested a man accused of dragging an officer, and then going on a high-speed chase.
An officer was dispatched to the Select Inn early Wednesday morning, where two people were sleeping inside their car. Sources tell NewsChannel5, the officer approached the vehicle and learned that the man was wanted on a felony warrant.
That's when, sources said, the man drove off in his car and dragged the officer with him for a short distance. The officer suffered minor injuries.
Officers chased the suspect's vehicle onto I-24 east. The high-speed chase ended at mile marker 110 in Coffee County, where both people inside the car were arrested after a investigators said they resisted.
Both are facing charges of aggravated assault and resisting arrest.
Their names have not been released.
