MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Detectives are looking for a man considered to be armed and dangerous. He's accused of stabbing and nearly killing a security guard at a popular Murfreesboro bar and grill.

It happened at Gentleman Jim's on Greenland Drive just across from the MTSU campus early Saturday morning.

Police responding to an emergency call arrived to find a 22-year-old security guard bleeding badly from stab wounds to the stomach.

The attacked happened around 3 a.m. Saturday in the parking lot behind the business.

The victim was flown to Vanderbilt Medical Center for emergency surgery and is recovering.

The suspect disappeared on foot into a nearby apartment complex and hasn't been seen since.

He's described as thin male with dreadlocks wearing a red shirt and blue jeans and speaks with a strong Caribbean accent.

This is not the first time Gentleman Jim's has been in the news.

Murfreesboro police report several calls to this location for over the years and are stepping up patrols.
