NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A New York-based music venue and bowling alley is expanding to Nashville next year.

Brooklyn Bowl Nashville is headed to Germantown and will open next to First Tennessee Park, soon to be First Horizon Park, on the corner of Third Avenue and Jackson Street.

"Nashville is a place that evokes the spirit of what was happening in Brooklyn when we opened there almost 11 years ago, and there’s so much great music," said Brooklyn Bowl co-founder Peter Shapiro. "We’re really excited to bring our own vibe and energy to a place with so much history."

Music City will be the franchise's third location, following the flagship location in New York and second location in Las Vegas.

"Combining what Nashville is famous for with the diverse and eclectic musical genres that we’ve become known for showcasing, we’re looking forward to being a new home for 'Rock. And Roll.' in Music City." said co-founder Charley Ryan. "It’s a town with such amazing venues, and we’re excited and honored to be a part of the community."

Inside the venue will be 19 bowling lanes, a bar featuring local beers, food by Blue Ribbon restaurant group and a patio overlooking First Tennessee Park.

Brooklyn Bowl Nashville will hold its grand opening concert on March 14 with Soulive & George Porter Jr.

The venue has announced performances through July 24 including artists like The Revivalists, St. Paul and The Broken Bones, Hippie Sabotage, Theory of a Deadman, Angel Olsen and Phosphorescent. For a full list of upcoming shows, visit the Brooklyn Bowl Nashville website.

Tickets for the initial shows will go on sale Friday, December 20.
