Metro Nashville Police officers have asked for the public's help in identifying and finding the people responsible for robbing and cab driver.
Police said a couple robbed the taxi driver at gunpoint last Sunday night right at the corner of 4th and Commerce.
The man told the driver to take them to the Omni Hotel. Once they got there, the couple got out and walked to a parked car only to turn around and get back in the cab.
That's when police said the man pulled out a gun, put it in the driver's ribs and demanded money.
After taking the cabbie's money, they allegedly got out of the taxi and drove off in a white Nissan Pathfinder.
Officials asked anyone recognizing the couple to call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
