NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A convenience store clerk was critically injured in a shooting Thursday night.

Metro Nashville Police say a woman caused a scene in the Sunrise Market convenience store at Clarksville Pike and 26th Avenue.

The woman allegedly threw a bottle of water at the clerk. The clerk then threw it back and demanded she leave the store. But that's when police say she and her friends started ransacking the store and her boyfriend shot the clerk.

The clerk was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
