NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A Nashville family has reunited with their dog, Fergus, after he went missing over the weekend following a crash.
He was found Wednesday morning, not far from where he ran off near Tyne Avenue in Nashville. The emotional reunion was captured on video and was posted to the “Find Fergus” Facebook page.
Mickey McKay, his wife and their 200-pound Irish Wolfhound, were stopped at the intersection of Franklin Road and Tyne Boulevard Saturday evening when they were rear-ended, shattering their car windows. Fergus was ejected from the car and landed in the road.
Dash camera video showed Fergus limping away from the crash towards Judson Baptist Church.
"Fergus is a member of the family," McKay said on Monday. "We got him when he was a pup and getting home last night it just felt so quiet without him."
McKay and his wife did sustain minor injuries from the crash. The family has had Fergus since he was 2 months old.
