NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — No injuries were reported in two Nashville house fires that were reported within 30 minutes of each other on Friday morning.

The Nashville Fire Department said crews are still working to extinguish the second reported fire after the call came in around 6:30 a.m. on 23rd Avenue South.

Sky 5 flew over the area, where heavy smoke and flames could be seen. Firefighters have since gotten the blaze under control.

The department said there are no reported injuries and no one was inside. The home was under renovation at the time of the fire.

Another fire was reported earlier in the hour at Kingston Street and Sultana Avenue. Fire crews have since contained that blaze, as well.

The cause of either fire was not yet known.
