NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Hundreds turned out in Nashville for Walk for 1 in 100, an event to raise awareness for children and adults impacted by heart defects.
Saturday's walk helped raise almost $40,000 for people with congenital heart defects. Nearly 1 out of 100 people children and adults are born with heart defects in the United States. The money raised at the 1-mile walk around Centennial Park supports research, funding and resources for families.
