NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Nashville International Airport will move to a cashless parking system on July 1, 2026, as part of an effort to speed up transactions and reduce congestion in parking facilities.

Under the new system, parking payments will be accepted by credit or debit card only.

For passengers who don't have access to a card, cash-to-card kiosks are available inside the terminal to convert cash into a prepaid card that can be used for parking.

Two of those machines are already located on the departures level: one in North Ticketing across from the JetBlue counter and another in South Ticketing across from the Allegiant Air counter. A third machine is expected to be added on the arrivals level between baggage claims 8 and 9 before the transition takes effect.

Airport officials say the change reflects broader industry trends toward cashless parking systems and is intended to create a more streamlined experience for drivers.

Cash will still be accepted for tips, including valet services. More information about parking options is available through the airport's website.
