A 94-year-old woman became one of the sensations of this year’s St. Jude Rock ’n’ Roll Marathon in Nashville.

A woman known as “Gram,” who is legally blind, said this is her second year walking the 5K portion of the race.

She stopped by and talked to NewsChannel 5 Meteorologist Henry Rothenberg. Her motto and secret to success?

“Smile and keep moving,” she said.

Her family – dubbed Gram’s Groupies – walked with her and had a wheelchair on standby. However, Gram said she didn't need it.

When asked about today’s weather compared to last year’s more humid conditions, she responded, “You’re not changing it. What it is, it is.”
