NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A player for Nashville Soccer Club has tested positive for COVID-19, marking the team's first case of the virus.
The player - who is not identified - isolated immediately upon receiving the positive test result. The team also began contact tracing and suspended training until all other players and staff returned negative results.
Outside of the positive case, the team's players and staff have now received two consecutive negative results.
Nashville Soccer Club is traveling to Foxborough, Mass. for their match against New England Revolution.
To be in accordance with CDC guidelines, the players are continuing to isolate until cleared under the supervision of the club's medical staff.
