A Nashville shooting that killed three people, including two children, was captured on surveillance video.

Queshan Brooks has been charged with three counts of murder in the shooting on Friday.

According to an affidavit from Metro Nashville Police, there was an argument inside a home on Jenkins Street in North Nashville.

Brooks allegedly shot his stepmother and then walked outside and shot and killed her two daughters, 5-year-old Samaii Daniel and 8-year-old Sam'marie Daniel.

Their mother was able to call 911 and is expected to survive.

The incident was apparently caught on home surveillance system, the police report said.

Less than 30 minutes later and one mile away, police said Brooks continued his rampage, shooting and killing 70-year-old Robert Payne during a carjacking on 10th Avenue North.

Officers found the stolen car abandoned about 30 minutes later on Interstate 40. They tracked Brooks' footprints through the snow and arrested him.

NewsChannel 5 has also learned that Brooks allegedly stole some packages off a Delta Avenue porch after the three murders. Police said he was arrested with those packages in his hands.

The 24-year-old was set to appear in court on Tuesday.

A candlelight vigil for the victims has been scheduled for Monday from 4-7 p.m. at Hartman Park. A makeshift memorial has been set up outside the Jenkins Street home.
