MILWAUKEE — A 15-year-old girl was arrested after she attempted to light a Milwaukee Police squad car on fire Saturday night.
It happened just after 10 p.m. in the 5300 block of N. Long Inland Drive.
According to police, the teen tried to light a squad car on fire as the officers were inside a home nearby on an assignment.
Neighbors called 911 when they observed smoke from the vehicle. Police responded and the teen was taken into custody.
"It was crazy, I never saw anything like it," a neighbor said. "It was like in flames, it was real big. I thought the car was going to blow up."
Police say the vehicle sustained minor damage to the rear wheel wells.
No one was injured.
