and last updated

With a big win in New Hampshire — and another expected this weekend in South Carolina’s primary — the bullseye is on Donald Trump.

Does he think George W. Bush should have been impeached? And would he think George W. Bush should have been impeached? And would he name is sister — who is a federal judge — to the late Antonin Scalia’s empty seat?

PolitiFact has checked statements by and about Trump to see how true they are.

FACT CHECK NO. 1
An ad aired in which Trump said, "I think Bush is probably the worst President in the history of the United States. It just seems like (Pelosi) was really going to look to impeach Bush and get him out of office which personally I think would have been a wonderful thing.” The ad's claims getting lots of talk in South Carolina ... an area known as Bush country.

PolitiFact: Sometimes those clips are kind of spliced together to make things sound like they aren't really what they sound like.  But in this case, he said it. Trump has since quieted his impeachment talk.

Ad’s claim rated: TRUE

FACT CHECK NO. 2

With the passing of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, the talk on the campaign trail is who will fill the void.  Ted Cruz claimed Donald Trump wouldn't look far ... saying Trump would appoint his sister who is a Federal judge in New Jersey.

Cruz on "This Week: "The one person he has suggested that would make a good justice is his sister who is a court of appeals judge appointed by Bill Clinton. She is a hardcore, pro-abortion liberal judge."

Politifact: Trump spoke highly of his sister in an August interview, but just this week saying she would not be the right person for Scalia's seat.

PolitiFact rating Cruz's nepotism claims as .... MOSTLY FALSE
