Fiat Chrysler Automobiles announce it is recalling nearly 650,000 SUVs over a brake issue.

According to the company, water could get inside brake-booster shields which could cause corrosion or freezing and brake function may get degraded.

The affected vehicles are 2011-2014 Dodge Durango and Jeep Grand Cherokee SUVs.

Also, a potential booster issue may be preceded by a warning light and/or activation of the anti-lock braking system.

They are aware of a single incident but there are no reported injuries.

The shields were originally installed with a 2014 recall involving the same vehicles, of which nearly 95 percent have been serviced.

Anyone with an affected model should contact their dealer.
