Ford Focus recalled due to malfunctioning valve

Nearly 1.5 million Ford Focus vehicles in North America are being recalled because of a fuel system problem.

The engines can stall without warning, the recall says. Cars included in the recall are 2012 to 2018 model years with 2-liter four-cylinder engines.

The recall states a canister purge valve can malfunction. There have been no accidents, injuries or fires because of this issue, the company said.
