People in Minnesota are quite literally freezing their pants off.
In northeast Minneapolis, where temperatures in recent days have sunk below 10 degrees, residents are making light of a brutally cold situation.
And they're doing that by freezing their jeans and placing them in their yards ... as sculptures.
Yes, really.
It's actually so cold that the clothing items are standing up on their own and holding their shape.
Explaining how she managed to pull her own strange sculpture off, Minneapolis resident Jolana Bernhardt told KARE, "I just ran them through the washing machine, brought them out after the spin cycle. It took a couple minutes to get them to freeze. Then they were pretty easy to stand up once they started to freeze.”
Bernhardt claims that her neighbor, Tom Grotting, started the bizarre fad a few years back. This year, however, he dared people to join him via Facebook.

Somewhat unsettling? Sure. But for some reason, we can’t help but chuckle.
