A Utah mother was arrested Monday in connection with an egging incident.
Deputies in Weber County said 44-year-old Jennifer Terry allegedly helped her teenage daughter and several other minors go on an egging rampage, driving them around and allowing them to hit up to 20 homes with about 15 dozen eggs.
The incident occurred on Aug. 20, but after getting more insight, officers arrested Terry Monday and charged her with a Class A misdemeanor.
Damage sustained in the incident included a $2,343 bill to repair one home’s stucco, as well as a $3,000 bill for damage to a car’s ignition. Screens, windows and furniture were also damaged, and some victims claim the mess was so bad they’ve been unsuccessful in fully cleaning it up.
According to a criminal report, Terry confessed to the eggings and said she did it "because of certain familial problems she was having and because she simply did not care.”
All but one of the accused minors has admitted to being involved in the crime.
