Next time you see a celebrity wearing your dream dress on a red carpet, just ask them if you can have it – it may just work.

After all, it did for New York high school senior Jessica Casanova, who wore actress Gina Rodriguez’s 2015 Golden Globes gown to prom after reaching out to her on Twitter.

Here’s how everything went down.

Casanova tweeted the “Jane the Virgin” actress back in January, writing that she “would love to wear your golden globes dress to prom.”

Much to Casanova’s surprise, Rodriguez responded. And it wasn’t just to say hello.

While the “Jane the Virgin” actress didn’t actually own the 2016 gown Casanova had mentioned, another arrangement was made.

“Where do you live? I only own my first globes dress the one from last year...maybe we can make this happen,” Rodriguez wrote.

See more of the exchange below.

The dress Casanova ended up wearing was a Badgley Mischka dress, Today.com reports.
