Deputies conduct manhunt for 3 escaped inmates in Louisiana

The Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana Sheriff's Office said it is searching for three felons who escaped late Saturday night from the parish's detention center after jumping over two rolls of razor wire fence.

The Sheriff's Office is looking for Michael Elliot, 24; Walshea Mitchell, 35; and Willie E. Ethridge, 34.

Ethridge was convicted on counts of attempted murder and armed robbery. He is scheduled to be released in 2037. Mitchell is serving time through 2035 for counts of of armed robbery and attempted robbery. Elliot was convicted for illegal possession of stolen goods and vehicle theft. He is pending release in 2019. 

The Sheriff's Office said that the men were not armed at the time of their escape, but should be considered dangerous. Two of the escapees were last seen wearing black sweat pants and black long sleeve sweat shirts, while the third escapee was last seen wearing gray sweat pants and a gray long sleeve shirt.
