It's official: looking at Sia's face will not turn you to stone.
The popular singer-songwriter almost never shows her face in public, opting to wear a face-covering wig during televised performances and at concerts. But this week, she blew the internet's collective mind by strolling through Los Angeles International Airport with nothing covering her mug.

Soak it in, it might be the last time you see Sia's face for a while.
The 41-year-old Australian musician has been covering her face in public for most of the past five years after her worldwide breakthrough. She'd been recording and writing music since the early 1990s but many people didn't discover her until David Guetta's 2011 song "Titanium," which she co-wrote and sang. Her 2013 album "1000 Forms of Fear" made her a household name thanks largely to the Top 10-hit single "Chandelier."
Sia has revealed in interviews that she battles camera shyness and stage fright but her reason for covering up seems to be a deeper statement about the shallow nature of the music business.
In 2015, she told Interview magazine she hides her face to maintain control over her image and career. "I would like not to be picked apart or for people to observe when I put on ten pounds or take off ten pounds or I have a hair extension out of place or my fake tan is botched," Sia said.
